Lina Salazar Biography

My name is Lina Maria Salazar Herrera. I was born in the city of Medellin Colombia. My parents moved to the city of Manizales when I was very young.  I grew up surrounded by love and care and those values learned from my family ​​made me an integral human being.
I hold a degree in special education with emphasis on mental retardation from the University of Manizales. I moved to the city of San José Del Guaviare, a town, and municipality in Colombia. Over there I knew that part of Colombia framed by violence and abandonment. Besides being a teacher, I was able to help families’ victims of violence who were in need of help. My two children were born in this territory and due to health problems, we were forced to return to Manizales where I worked in different institutions as a support teacher for integration into the regular classroom. I am an entrepreneur​, with good moral foundations and good care towards others; I like to work as a team and make contributions that help others to reach their goals and grow as a whole human being.
